British police have confirmed they are investigating claims of Amy Winehouse attacking a man in a London street early Wednesday morning.
“The police are investigating an alleged assault on Chalk Farm Road at approximately 3:20 am on April 23,” says a spokesman. “A 38-year-old man [contacted] Kentish Town police station and alleged a 24-year-old woman had assaulted him. No arrests have been made as yet but inquiries continue.”
Amy Winehouse, 24, was alleged to have head-butted a man outside of a bar who tried to hail her a taxi, according to a detailed account in The Sun.

The singer, who has battled alcohol abuse and drug issues both before and during the incarceration of her husband Blake Fielder-Civil over claims of witness tampering, started her latest train wreck session on Tuesday.
The Sun claims that during her binge, Amy Winehouse attacked two men, kissed another, trashed a bar and smoked drugs on a sidewalk.
A call to Winehouse’s rep was not returned.
The incident, described by the paper as her “most depraved night yet,” is the latest in a long list of events involving the troubled Winehouse, who entered rehab in January and won a gaggle of Grammy Awards in February.
Last August, she was hospitalized in London for what her PR people called “exhaustion,” however, her father Mitch Winehouse says that Amy in fact suffered a drug-induced seizure. Stunning. Let the suicide watch continue!
