Robert Knox, Harry Potter Actor, Stabbed to Death

Sad news out of London tonight:

Robert Knox, a British teenage actor playing a minor role in the upcoming Harry Potter movie, was stabbed to death during a brawl.

The 18-year old was fatally wounded after he was involved in a fight outside a bar in southwest London early Saturday, London’s Metropolitan Police said in a statement. Word leaking out is that he was defending his younger brother.

Robert Knox, right, was tragically killed in a knife fight. The actor has a small role in the next Harry Potter movie.

In the upcoming Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince, set for a November release, Knox plays Ravenclaw student Marcus Belby.

Reportedly, he was one of five young men taken to various hospitals following the brawl, police said. Among them was a 21-year-old who has since been arrested on suspicion of murder.

What kissing couple could knock Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson off the front page of celebrity gossip tabloids?

Lance Armstrong and Kate Hudson, who were spotted making out and dancing at the Dolce & Gabbana party at the Baoli Club in Cannes on Friday.

“They were just really into each other,” a witness told Us Weekly. “They would look at each other in the eyes and then kiss on the lips.”

Hudson and Armstrong were first spotted together publicly May 15 at New York City’s Wildwood Barbeque following a Kid Rock concert.

“They seemed like they were having a great time,” said a source.

KayCee Stroh and Ben Higginson: Engaged!

Hey, Zanessa, no pressure - but a costar of yours is now engaged.

KayCee Stroh, who plays High School Musical character Martha Cox, got engaged to boyfriend Ben Higginson early this morning.

“We shot from 6 p.m. until 6 a.m., and Ben was waiting for me in my trailer,” Stroh told People. “He was waiting for me with a single red rose. Then he took me up to the H Rock, a place at the top of a little mountain that overlooks Salt Lake City, and we watched the sunrise. Then he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him.”

Stroh said she’s now wearing “the most amazing ring,” which she’ll soon be showing off during filming of High School Musical 3. None of her costars know about the news yet.

“They are going to be so surprised,” Stroh said. “They all love Ben. He’s like one of the gang.”

Matt Grant Stands By Shayne Lamas

He gave her the rose and an engagement ring.

She reacted like she sat on his face. Then she surprised him with a very classy photo spread in Girls Gone Wild magazine.

But The Bachelor star, Matt Grant, says he has no problem with fame-whore fiancée Shayne Lamas’ revealing pictures in Joe Francis’ rag.

“As we English say, I really feel it was ‘a storm in a teacup,’” Grant said. “I believe it was blown out of proportion. I stand by Shayne 110 percent.”

There was a flurry of media appearances after Grant got down on one knee to propose to Lamas on the finale of The Bachelor, but crickets after the Girls Gone Wild photos hit the web the very next Tuesday.

The pictures in the issue out June 3 do not show Shayne Lamas naked, but in this shot, she’s wearing little more than a smile and a wedding veil.

Matt Grant says the couple are also brushing off media speculation that they’re already having problems in their relationship.

“We sit down together and just laugh off all the ridiculous stories that get thrown our way,” Grant says.

“All things considered we are doing really well.”

The two are living in Shayne Lamas’ Studio City condo at the moment, where Matt Grant says they are working out their new life.

“We have the normal pressures of any couple,” he said. “But then, we have even more added pressures being that we are a reality TV couple, and that I’m leaving my life, friends and family in England to be with her.”

Like a true attention whore using relationships for fame and money, Tracey Edmonds didn’t need long to move on from ex-husband Eddie Murphy.

Less than six months after breaking up with the actor, the former Mrs. Babyface is dating Diddy. And just listen to how much she loves him already!

“Diddy is the funniest man I’ve ever met,” Edmonds told The Daily Mirror. “I’m so talented at latching on to men with fame and fortune lucky to find someone so soon after Eddie.”

So, will Diddy become the third Mrs. Tracey Edmonds?

“We’ve only been on three or four dates, but he’s whisked me off my feet,” Edmonds said. “I don’t know about wedding bells but he’s definitely the man for me.”

Instead of You Don’t Mess With the Zohan, somebody should make a movie called You Don’t Mess With Tom Cruise’s Legal Team.

Cruise - the man who brought down David Hans Schmidt, and who will take on just about anyone who defames him - is not happy with baby boutique Petit Tresor for allegedly talking to celeb gossip rags about his spending.

Tom had his lawyers send a cease and desist letter to the store.

The letter accuses the boutique of telling celeb news that TomKat spent a staggering $350,000 on Suri Cruise’s wardrobe over the last two years.

Lawyers for Cruise say the information is not only wrong, but it violates their clients’ confidentiality. Do not f*%k with this man!!

Cruise also says that the store had better keep their mouths shut about TomKat’s shopping habits from this point on.

If the store doesn’t comply, THEY WILL ALL DIE.

Okay, we invented that last part. But you bought it, didn’t you?

We actually wouldn’t be surprised to hear that TomKat drops six figures on baby clothes. They do, after all, have more money than God.

On a side note, what the eff is going on with Katie Holmes’ hair. We’ve seen some crappy celebrity hairstyles in our day, but she may win.

Luke Menard Diagnosed with Cancer

Some sad news on the heels of an exciting American Idol finale:

Season seven finalist Luke Menard has been diagnosed with cancer.

According to a relative, a biopsy showed a mass to be a symptom of Stage Two Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, a cancer of the immune system.

Menard is currently back in his hometown of Crawfordsville, Indiana with his wife Lara; he’s in treatment for the disease.

“He is surrounded by his family,” the relative said. “They want to help him beat this and move on.”

We wish Luke Menard a speedy recovery.

Marie-Anne Thiébaud Denies Role in Shania Twain Divorce

As Marie-Anne Thiébaud’s name has become synonymous with “dirty, lying adulterer,” the former secretary for Shania Twain and Mutt Lange has finally spoken out.

Thiébaud was contacted E! News at her home and told the celebrity gossip network:

“I know what you’re ringing to ask me about. But, when marriages break up they break up for all sorts of complicated reasons, it’s never just one reason. And those reasons should be kept private. If you’re looking for a person that broke up a marriage then you have the wrong person. I’m not that person.”

Thiébaud declined to comment any further on the rumors, asking that the press not “intrude into people’s private lives.”

While aspiring president John McCain talked gay marriage on TV with Ellen DeGeneres, the daughter of the current chief executive had her own plans.

Jenna and Henry Hager returned from their honeymoon in time to attend his graduation from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business.

The newlyweds - who got married in Crawford, Texas on May 10 - went with his parents, John and Maggie Hager, the Washington Post reports.

Ellen DeGeneres and John McCain Don’t Have a Gay Ol’ Time

John McCain wants America to stay in Iraq eternity. But when it comes to homosexuals vowing to love each other for the same period of time?

Not so much.

“I just believe in the unique status of marriage between man and woman,” McCain told well-known gay talk show host Ellen DeGeneres on her program. “And I know that we have a respectful disagreement on that issue.”

DeGeneres, to her credit, took the senator to task for his views, declaring:

“We are all the same people, all of us. You’re no different than I am. Our love is the same.”

Ellen, of course, has announced that she and Portia de Rossi will be married later this year in California. McCain responded to that news - and the general news that the Golden State Supreme Court recently ruled in favor of gay marriage - as best he could:

“People should be able to enter into legal agreements, and I think that is something we should encourage, particularly in the case of insurance and other areas.”

DeGeneres said that arrangement “doesn’t feel inclusive… it feels… isolated.” It was a tense interview, one we admire Ellen for conducting and McCain for putting himself through.

Unlike her family-oriented Sex and the City character, Charlotte York, Davis says her No. 1 goal in life isn’t to wed and have kids.

“I can relate to feeling the pressure society puts on a person. My family has never been focused on that for me. I’d love to have children, though. I’d also love to adopt a child — I think about it a lot,” Davis says.

Davis — who works with Oxfam International to fight poverty — even cites Angelina Jolie as an inspiration.

The Latest Amy Winehouse News & Gossip

Adding yet another item to her long list of self-destructive and bizarre behavior, Amy Winehouse was spotted leaving her London home at 1:30 this morning with a bunch of fresh cuts on her arm. Standard, really.

The singing train wreck had a bag packed and apparently said she was going to a hotel (!?) as she made her way from her house to a waiting car.

In addition to the cuts on her arm, Amy Winehouse was also sporting sores on her hand and a blood stains on her vest, and smoking cigs.

In other Amy Winehouse news, she may have scored another chance to record the theme song for the upcoming James Bond film, Quantum of Solace.

She owes that second chance to the Pet Shop Boys. The old school British group reportedly reached out and invited Amy to record the new track with them after her producer, Mark Ronson, threw in the towel.

“She’s got a few things to sort out first but we like her very much,” said The Pet Shop Boys’ Neil Tennant. “Technically, she’s a really great singer and we’ve got one or two tracks that would really suit her.”

Lastly, Amy celebrated her one-year anniversary with Blake Fielder-Civil earlier this week. He is currently rotting away in jail.

However, instead of playing games with anyone’s heart, the tubby moron has been found guilty of playing games with money: he’s been sentenced to 25 years in jail for money laundering and conspiracy.

Pearlman pleaded guilty in March to a long, complicated con game that essentially pumped up his net worth, while cheating other people out of millions. The judge gave him the maximum sentence, pretty much saying:

When it comes to being a lying, cheating embezzler that deserves a lot of time behind bars… it’s gonna be YOU!

Last night, the grimy Justin-Bobby Brescia and a smiling Audrina Patridge were spotted out in L.A. at the fifth anniversary party for Dolce.

In a gesture befitting of a low-life such as himself, J-Bobby strutted through a mass of photographers with middle finger on display.

We don’t think Audrina compares to LC in terms of natural beauty, but she’s pretty attractive. Surely any number of guys would love to date her - and a lot of them probably aren’t opposed to showering or using full sentences.

Reportedly, the couple applied for a wedding license Monday morning and didn’t waste any time sticking it in a drawer; they were married 40 minutes later in a Beverly Hills courthouse.

Pete Wentz Speaks on Ashlee Simpson, Marriage

Pete Wentz is speaking out for the first time since his weekend wedding to Ashlee Simpson. “We have signed a pre-nup,” the newlywed rocker admitted on Ryan Seacrest’s KIIS-FM radio show Tuesday.

As for whose assets are being protected, well, no elaboration.

As for Ashlee’s name, “she legally is a Wentz … I don’t know what she’ll do with her stage name, that’s up to her. She hasn’t decided that.”

He said they’re skipping out on a honeymoon (for now) and have been content hanging out in their basement in L.A.

“We got some blow-up palm trees,” Wentz said. “A little fake-n-bake tanning booth… We’re eating DiGiorno’s pizza, getting in that tanning oven every once in a while, it’s great. We’re gonna save that 30 grand, you know?”

As for married life: “I feel great!” he said. “It is sunny and 65 in my head.”

Pete Wentz still refused to confirm he got Ashlee Simpson pregnant.

High School Musical Cast Speaks on Dancing, Shoes

The entire cast of High School Musical 3 - Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Lucas Grabeel, Monique Coleman and Corbin Bleu - appeared on ABC’s Good Morning America earlier today.

For his (hot!) part, Efron talked about coming into rehearsals a few weeks late because he was busy shooting another movie, 17 Again. He said couldn’t keep up with girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens; we assume he meant on the dance floor:

“It was tough catching up with everybody. Vanessa’s tough to keep up with, man. She’s really coordinated. It’s tough.”

Zac wasn’t alone, though. The entire cast seemed to have a difficult time with the new moves.

“I’m still hurting. We’re all kind of limping around,” Hudgens said.

“I think I grew a full shoe size. My feet are so swollen. It’s pretty bad, but it’s worth it,” added Monique Coleman.

One star who seemed to be doing well, though, was Tisdale. She thanked her footwear for that.

“Well, actually, the shoes are comfortable,” Ashley said. “We had ballroom shoes on and everyone was wearing heels and everybody was like, ‘Argh, my feet hurt,’ and I’m like, ‘Mine are great!’”

This may be a silly question to ask, but: Will you be seeing High School Musical 3?

Report: Mutt Lange Cheated with Marie Ann Thiébaud

There’s no denying the fact that the 14-year marriage between Robert “Mutt” Lange and Shania Twain is over.

But there is controversy over the reasons behind the split.

Self-absorbed gossip blogger Perez Hilton reports that Lange had an affair with Marie Ann Thiébaud, a longtime secretary and manager of the couple’s chateau in Switzerland.

This dude cheated on Shania Twain. Really?!? We hope Marie Ann Thiébaud was worth it, Mutt.

“Mutt and Marie Ann left their spouses for each other and are still in a relationship,” a source said, though Lange denied this allegation.

“It’s absolutely not the reason [for the split],” he said.

Notice that Mutt - if that is his real name! - didn’t deny sleeping with Marie Ann Thiébaud, though.

This story causes us to question the sincerity of Twain’s classic song, “You’re Still the One.”

Looks like these two haven’t made it, after all. They may have taken the long way, but is this really where they hoped to get to someday?

Spencer Pratt pimps Heidi Montag to any celebrity photo agency, nightclub or publication willing to listen - but don’t expect a good tip from him.

A Hills camera crew was with the gruesome twosome at the time - no surprise there - and a source says that when they stopped filming, the server approached a producer from The Hills about the measly tip.

The producer then forked over $60 from his own pocket to cover Spencer’s shortcomings. Come on. Couldn’t Heidi Montag just flash them or something?

While Whitney Port was dining (and hanging) out, Audrina Patridge celebrated her 23rd birthday in Las Vegas Saturday night without her Hills BFFs.

The Hills star drank Grey Goose and Red Bull and goofed off with pals — including her mom! — while surely pocketing a fat paycheck at club LAX.

According to Us Weekly, Patridge danced to to Akon’s “Smack That” while a female pal slapped her booty, and Madonna’s “Four Minutes.”

At 12:40 a.m., a white-frosted cake decorated with roses arrived. Audrina Patridge — who flew in from Hawaii, where she’s filming her first movie, Into the Blue 2 — grabbed a rose and licked frosting off it. HOT!

Paula Abdul is insane, Hillary Clinton will stop at nothing to win, The Bachelor star will not actually marry the recipient of the final rose, and Brody Jenner isn’t going to a party if there aren’t any girls. Plain and simple.

The reality show regular and ex of Lauren Conrad hit six Chicago bars in two hours the other night after hosting a party at a local pub, McFadden’s.

“He was swigging Grey Goose vodka straight from the bottle and looked practically comatose,” said a New York Post source.

“The bar smelled awful, but girls in tube tops were swarming all over him.”

Brody Jenner also hit club Underground and ended his night at Rino… “But he left quickly because it was filled with all men,” said a spy.

Spotted: Kate Hudson and Lance Armstrong!

At this rate, Lance Armstrong will have as many celebrity girlfriends as Tour de France titles.

The famous cyclist and cancer survivor looks to be adding to his Hollywood tit tote board (which already includes Sheryl Crow and Ashley Olsen) with Kate Hudson. The pair were spotted having dinner together in Austin on Friday and Saturday night.

For a pair of serial daters (Hudson has been linked in the past with Dax Sheperd and Owen Wilson), you’d think these two would eat breakfast together instead. No? Is this thing on?

Anyway, the athlete and the actress first dined at Eddie V’s on Friday, a high-end Texas restaurant frequented by Armstrong, according to a restaurant insider.

“They came in [Friday] and had dinner together, it’s true,” a source confirmed to People.

The following night, Hudson and Armstrong ate at Hula Hut with Lance’s three children and a group of friends.

“They came in with the kids and a large group of people,” said another witness. “They ordered dinner – tacos, burgers and fries and that sort of stuff.”

Is it too soon to name this couple? What does everyone think of “Hudstrong?” We can see the bracelets now.
